Organic certifications

Gentle farming methods

Most of our producers are certified organic under European standards, adhering to the Federal Ordinance on Organic Agriculture (RS 910.18) or are members of the Organic Farming Association of India. For those who choose not to participate in this certification system due to budgetary and administrative reasons, samples of their spices are sent to a laboratory in Switzerland. Better than organic? Our producers use gentle farming methods such as permaculture, biodynamics, agroforestry, and natural agriculture to preserve biodiversity. Unlike monoculture, which can be organic but focuses on intensive single-crop production, diverse crops maintain both health and the environment.
