Of the tribes, Yaksha pepper?
Native to the coastal regions of Malabar in south-west India, black pepper is now grown mainly in Vietnam, India, Brazil, Indonesia and Malaysia, making it one of the most highly prized spices in the world. This spice, which belongs to the piperaceae family, comes from a perennial tropical vine. Grown at high altitude, tribal peppercorns are smaller but remarkably richer in flavour, underlining their exceptional quality. The careful collection of each grain, together with natural drying in the sun, underlines the exceptional value of this spice. Tribes, Yaksha? Annu and Joseph share their land with indigenous tribes living in the heart of the rainforest. The name pays homage to the traditional cultivation methods of the indigenous peoples, symbolising the harmony between their farming practices and the ancient traditions of the tribes of the Western Ghats.
